MOXIE VOLLEYBALL

MOXIE VOLLEYBALL

Coach Amy Payton has been coaching volleyball for 20+ years, bringing passion and love to the game for young athletes every day. Coach Payton played her college career at Kellogg Community College and then transferred to UNC Pembroke. Coach Payton has been a part of the Moxie Kalamazoo Volleyball program since 2015 where she started as a Travel Club Coach. Coach Payton is now the Director of Operations of Moxie Kalamazoo since September, 2022.

Coach Payton is dedicated to providing youth with accessible, affordable, and high quality volleyball programs that serve to transform student athletes and inspire a future generation. She sees the need for a different type of youth volleyball where athletes feel valued and families feel welcomed and are not turned away because of the inability to pay.

In addition to being the Director of Operations for Moxie Volleyball Kalamazoo, Coach Payton is coaching our Mini Moxie and Junior programs, partnering with Kalamazoo Parks and Recs. During the time she has taken over the program, Coach Payton has worked with 120 student athletes from the Greater Kalamazoo Area since September of 2022 and continues to grow those numbers with each gym she walks into. She volunteers her time with local High Schools within Kalamazoo County.

During her downtime, Coach Payton enjoys spending time with her family. Whether it is curling up on the couch to watch a movie with her dogs, or going fishing out on the lake with her kids and husband. She is an avid reader and loves to learn!
